Julie Chen Moonves will host the summer hit reality series Big Brother. The show will return to CBS on the 5th of August to begin its 2nd season. Chen Moonves has been an integral part of The Talk since 2010, in which she served as both the host and the moderator. In the year she began writing that her true passion was revealed. The fact that she hosted an amazing entertainment talk show earned her an additional Emmy. The Talk examines contemporary events using the perspective of five hosts. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News The Early Show's early morning news show The Early Show for a decade. In the past, she served as anchor of the news on The Early Show and anchor of the CBS Morning News, the CBS Television Network's early-morning, half-hour broadcast.Chen Moonves covered several major storylines for The Early Show, including the 2003 war in Iraq. Following the 9/11 attacks, she traveled to Cairo to conduct an interesting and informative interview. Chen Moonves has interviewed newsmakers like former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, the Queen Rania of Jordan and the former Defence Secretary William Cohen, and celebrities such as Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, Mary J. Blige, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck, Barbra Streisand, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes, Matthew McConaughey, Chris Rock, Mel Brooks, Robert DeNiro, and Jennifer Lopez. Chen Moonves covered the Emmy Award-winning CBS Sunday Morning News show. The show featured celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis or Paula Abdul. Before joining The Early Show he was an CBS affiliated station's reporter in New York City, WCBS. She worked as a producer for ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the network's affiliate news service in the late 1990s, as well as a desk assistant in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991) during her final year at the University of Southern California. Her first broadcasting job as a Desk Assistant on ABC News' late-night show Nightline with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel remains among the journalists she admires. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel in the production of the award-winning Columbia du-Pont special Anatomy of a Riot which was a look at those who were involved in the Los Angeles riots of '92.
